Quick technology Update

Through 2 cities so far, a definite trend is developing in Northern Europe and it bodes very well for AT&T. Unfortunately, I'm a Sprint subscriber.

So far, I had only spotty data in Brussels: I had phone service or data, but never really had both. It may simply have been the local nwtwork, called Base, that was the issue, and it's significant.

Because most of the Fellows are travelling with AT&T and the vast majority have a BB, though some of the unwashed have an iPhone. So everyone is regularly keeping track with their IM or email. Without data I was constantly having to ask what everyone would be doing outside our itenerary.

In Copenhagen, it was *much* better. The local network had good data and good phone service. Everything in Denmark works well, so I shouldn't be surprised.

BTW, Raketu VOIP has been as promised. Good quality (not great), and as cheap as planned: .02 per minute back home. Heading to Greece let's hope data stays consistent.
